London based Chiu, under the alias of The Ronin, has worked for clients such as Leica, Nokia, BBC, EMI, Greenpeace & Channel 4. His short films have been featured in a number of film festivals gaining awards along the way & he regularly speaks at design conferences & universitites around the world. Inspired by film, travel, & music, Chiu is currently represented by London based Stink
and New York based Curious Pictures.
I've always been fascinated by old analog synth, I find them too exciting from a visual standpoint, the colors, knobs, sliders. I then immediately enamored of the thumbnails created by the artist and Australian designer Dan McPharlin.
Dan McPharlin had always wanted to design an analog synth but lacked the skills so he thought to make copies in miniature. His models are treated in detail and fully made love with paper and cardboard. Dan takes on average 3 days to realize full one. Even the photographs of the models are very beautiful, an art in the art.
Soon it will be on display in the United States and Japan.

Aristide Loria was born in Ancona on 05 Settembre1981 but growing at Spoleto in the province of Perugia. At eighteen he moved to Perugia where he attended for two years, the Faculty of Languages and Literatures. He then moved to Florence where he attended for two years the faculty of Industrial Design, specializing in Visual Design. In Florence began to paint. Remains in the Tuscan capital about four years and then moved briefly to Montevarchi in Chianti and back to Perugia. In these three cities developed the style that characterizes it. Back in Spoleto in 2006, where he then held his first solo exhibition sponsored by the city of Spoleto, looking forward from 'Department of culture of Spoleto. Followed by other personal and collective in Umbria, including selection for the collective 'Germinazioni' in Perugia, 'Fucina off' at the Museo Civico di Spoleto and tripersonale "She" in Perugia, curated by Francesca Duranti. |
